Here are the entries for the November 2010 Photo Contest. With no theme set, the entries cover a wide range of subjects.

Many thanks to the folks who have entered their photos, showing us another excellent sampling of topics, seasons and activities.

Each member can vote for their 3 favourites. You also have the option of changing your vote(s).

The voting period will end December 31st.

It was an almost wide open category......
"contest is wide open with the following restrictions:
The pictures you submit have to be related to self propelled recreation in the outdoors. Jet boating, off-road Hummer rallies, drilling for shale gas pics, no matter how amazingly good, will not be retained."
and it illustrates the variety of experiences we have in the outdoors- fishing, climbing, cycling, skiing, snowshoeing and of course, paddling. :P

How do you enter these contests? I can't even figure out how to put in an album (though I have a vague recollection of having done it years ago and forgotten about it)

Neil (Hiker Neil) will post when the next Photo contest is starting, along with the rules & then you simply email him your photo with whatever additional info he asks for (not much!). Then Neil organizes them all & they are posted for voting. Very easy!

If you look here: viewtopic.php?f=150&t=36880 you can see how the most recent one was organized.

She waits patiently for Neil to post them in the Contest Gallery, so she can post the voting poll. :D

You could create an account with one of the photo-hosting sites, if you haven't already. Ones I can think of off-hand are Pbase, Photobucket and Flickr.

If you would like an account in the CCR Gallery, I can create one for you.

Once you have the photos uploaded to an album of some sort, then you can hot-link them in the forums, rather than using the attachment function.
