Before I write/and attempt to post several photos + story I would like to know how to post more than one photo on a single page?
I've tried in the past and only a bunch of text/urls/{} these type of figures appear and NO image....

I've done a "search" in the entire MYCCR forum and it does not take me to where I want to go....i.e the info on how to post more than one photo etc. All i get are 35+ pages that contain the words "post" and "photo" etc.

I looked for a specific page on doing this and obviously the key words--"posting photos" does not do it for the search engine.

Anyway...other other time i've attempted to put a photo up.....INSerting it between the words "img" which is also in "[ ]" etc and there is no image...

Maybe it is not possible to put....say 7 photos on ONE posting.

Thanks and sorry for the simple question that this idiot can't seem to figure out.
N

If you are hotlinking photos, then there is no limit to the number of photos that can be displayed in one post.

If you're using the attachment feature, then there is a limit of 5 (I think) per individual post. It was changed recently, so I'll check and make sure of the number.

Please be aware that not all photo-hosting sites allow users to hotlink their photos. Picasaweb is one.

The url for the photo itself needs to be inserted in the img coding. Again, only if your photo-hosting site allows hotlinking. A common mistake is to place the url for the page where the photo appears in the img coding.

There's a thread for questions and testing, found here:

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=34413

Folks can use that thread to test out the various features and functions. Perhaps it might help to do a test post of a photo in that thread?

Just checked, and the number of attachments per post is 10.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the size of each photo is limited to 800 pixels wide.

For photos on your hard drive, you need to use the attachment feature.

You can only use the hotlinking method if you have photos stored on a photo-sharing site or if you have a CCR Gallery account to upload them to. I would need to create a CCR Gallery account for you, as you currently don't have one.

Just checking myself right now, and I can't seem to find an attachment button either. Usually it's a little paper clip. I've just done hotlinking for so long, I never noticed before.

You should see the attachment feature when you have a reply box opened. Just scroll down a bit from the box where you put your message, and the "attachment" section is there.

How about we open a CCR Gallery account for you? That would make things much easier. Check your private messages.

It's part of the posting/replying process. You need to have a reply box open to see the attachment feature.

Well, paddletothesea, you sure got the hang of that fast!

I forgot to mention...photos uploaded to the CCR Gallery need to be approved before they are "visible".
