As mentioned in another thread I have pulled out and dusted off my old medium format camera and am trying to find somewhere who still processes 120 film
Just called Henry's in Barrie and they still send out 35mil but have no way of processing anything else.
Used to deal with Silvanoes on I believe it is Keele St years ago but they have also closed up and moved on.
Anyone know where I can still get film processed?

Cheers
Rob

Maybe someone in the Barrie Photo Club might be of help.

I just remembered that the Zehr's in Allandale used to do film processing. I'm pretty sure I had the last 126 roll I used done there. Be sure to make absolutely sure what the charges will be before you leave anything with them. (if they still do it)

The problem seems to be 120 film. Getting 35mil developed is still a bit of a challenge but it can be done.
For fun I called Walmart in the South end and it went pretty much as expected. Had to explain that no, 120 and 35mil film are very different.
Just a note, the Lady I was talking to at Walmart said they are scheduled to remove their film processing machine the 1st of February.
I will give Zehr's a call on Wednesday to see.

Cheers

WalMart may do 120 but you have to specify send out service. The munchkins behind the desk won't tell you this.

Looks like Google needs an update as Japan Camera in Barrie closed in February.
http://www.thebarrieexaminer.com/2014/01/31/japan-camera-closing-after-25-years-in-barrie
According to the article as of February there are only 10 stores left in the Country and 4 of those in Ontario.
LRC thanks now I have to actually enter a Walmat to find out. Should be good for a chuckle.
The search continues......

Search Google with:
toronto professional film processing 120

you find several in Toronto. It will be hard to find anyone out side a major centre processing c41 - 120 film these days.
Haven't shot film in over ten years now....

Thanks va, it helps when you know what to search. About 5 minutes gave me a couple of places to call next week and if it works out, looks like lunch downtown one Saturday.
I think the last time I used this camera was shooting a friend's Wedding in 2000 and never really made the jump to digital beyond a point and shoot.
Oh, I'm partially blaming Steve Elms for sharing more of those star shots for this hunt.
Steve what were you thinking???????????? Getting me thinking creatively again and forcing me to go back to my roots to accomplish my goal :tsk:

Yeah, Japan Camera closed after 25 years in Barrie.

The Barrie Camera Center, downtown, closed.

What do the wedding photographers do?

The one I know hasn't shot on film for a long time. I know a few "pro" photographers, the only ones still using film are the ones who produce "fine art".

Downtown camera in Toronto... 55 Queen street east, close to the Yonge street subway. Film can be mailed in...

If I don't live in Toronto, How can I still use your services?

Of course you can! You can mail your film, USB, CDs or DVDs to our location or use our online ordering system or email us your files (use wetransfer.com for larger prints). We can ship back your order to you as well. Along with your package, we require your contact information and instructions.
