Well, I've searched the how to forum for threads on Gallery, and found nothing that relates to my question, so here goes folks; I have several photos, mostly of things that I have made and use while tripping, that I have dropped into various albums within the MYCCR photo gallery, and I seek to know how to move them around into different albums and folders.

For example, within the camp kitchen album, or whatever the correct name is, I have several snaps of an ultralight, folding reflector oven, in the Miscellaneous album, I have put snaps of a canoe pack that I made, and some other things.

I have noticed that I have a personal album, and I would like to gather all of my various snaps in various albums, and put them, or at least copies of them, into folders in my personal album. But I am having little joy in attempting to do so.

Any guidance would be appreciated, thanks folks.
Cheers.

doubt there is functionality for moving pics around.
could be wrong.
and that (moving of them) may (if even possible) break them displaying in prior posts.

tried to test what you want to do but i can't even sign into gallery.
so, tried the 'forgot pass' and 'missed link' options and they both fail too.

not sure how many you have, but you can download the pics then re-upload
point of that is, they come down sized right so will upload without 'too big' errors.
and saves looking for them again.

When I upload to the gallery I have the images go into the miscellaneous folder. Then I create a folder and move the images into the specific folder.

So yes, I think you can move images around. You must be signed in.

Paddle Power, are you able to explain exactly how you move the photos around? It sounds like you are doing what I am hoping to be able to do. I understand that I must be logged in to the gallery, which is a separate log in from the main site log in. I have no problem logging into the gallery, I just can't see, or figure out, a way to move, or copy a pic from wherever it resides within the gallery, into my personal album.

A good point has been raised about potentially severing links to pics that appear in my posts, and so perhaps moving the pics from where they were initially placed, is not the answer, but copying/pasting them into another album may be. And, a good point was raised about perhaps just re-uploading them into the personal folder. More head scratching required here.

Cheers.

To move a photo, go to the “Create/order my albums” OR “Modify my albums.” (Yes, that may not be that intuitive, as I would have that "sort my pictures" would be the one to try.)

Now, in the first case, the “Create/order my albums” you have to click on one of the albums in the list and the Edit Files button becomes selectable. And then you can change the Album and then Apply changes.

OR in the second case, the “Modify my albums.” You can click on the Edit Files button (where it says Related Tasks). Which take you to the same screen as the first option, where you can change the Album and then Apply changes.

Thanks for this Brian, and for your PMs. I have it sorted now. I would have never figured that out. Thanks again everyone. Cheers.
