I thought that this might be something you'd be interested in. Mike is quite the character, already he is the only person to ever paddle across the country solo in one season, and is well on his way to doing it again...with his trusty dog of course. He plans to go all the way to Cape Breton this year, and he has a cause.

This Tuesday afternoon if all goes according to plan I'm going to launch some where in Ottawa paddle upriver to meet Mike and try my best to try to keep up to Mike! to somewhere near Parliament.

The kids and I have been following his progress all summer; he can really put on a lot of miles in a day!

We just missed running into him as he went into the Collins inlet near Killarney while we were on the outer foxes. Had the weather been better we would have crossed paths in the inlet.
