Hello forum,

Can anyone advise on Lac Poisson Blanc canoe tripping for a novice. I have a 16ft prospector and took a couple of solo lessons last fall with RedCanoes. I'd like to do a two nighter. Such as camping sites to aim for, what side of the lake to stick to. etc.
There is a put-in at the south end of the lake and another at Parc Regional at the north end of the lake.

Thanks!

"As the natural environment on the islands was degrading and also because of vandalism on different sites the Poisson Blanc Regional Park was created. They are the one who manages the different camping sites in the northern section of our lake. All mark camping sites have to be reserved and paid in advance now. There is some free camping sites in the southern portion of the lake used by the “Base de plein air Air-Eau-Bois” and some that are monitored by our members (in orange)."

Cartespleinair.org has a write up for Poisson blanc as well as many other routes. We've camped on east side near the cliff face and hiked over to the caves, Samlock/Marais.

Expect to pay, expect troubles if you don't!
