Some Scott canoes have crappy designs but there is no question that they make a quality product. The Legacy is a goog all round boat, I would consider one of these if I was looking for one canoe to do everything. Just don't expect to portage the boat and your pack in one trip. |

I believe the Legacy is a rebranded Mohawk Canoe of Florida https://www.mohawkcanoes.com I think you could do better buying Canadian but who am I to say, I bought an Old Town Appalachian |

I just picked up a Scott Legacy 16 canoe off Kijiji. Bought it on the strength of your Myccr reviews from 2005!. June 2020: the boat is in decent shape, wood on seats need a varnish, Royalite material is sunbeached but not sun damaged (seen both in other canoes). the boat weighs on the light side of 60 pounds and since Royalex canoes are no longer available, i grabbed this Scott Legacy 16 at the cheap price of $250 and will keep it for whitewater until I can afford better. |

Mohawk has been out of the canoe business for several years. They only make canoe accessories currently |
