I bought this gizmo at CTC at least a year ago. I was sitting on the shelf next to cans of Coleman fuel so I assumed it fit on a fuel can and helped prevent spillage. I have tried to fit it on a 4 L can and I cannot get it to fit. Does anybody know what it's for and how to use it? thx in advance

You are right! We have one, and it fit on the old Coleman cans to reduce spillage.

I had one, but found it to be more of a hindrance than a help. I prefer a funnel.

I think they've updated that device with a new thingamajig.

So ours works find on the real Coleman fuel cans, but not off any of the other white gas cans.
