There will be other sources besides B&H... this appeared in an email.

These should float if they fall overboard, the touchscreen should work through the case if it is the thin flexible type, and photos can be taken through a clear lens. GPS should also work when tracking, although I couldn't find any description of this.

I have 1 of those, bought elsewhere. I don't like the idea of shooting thru that flex plastic though. I would expect much distortion or loss of resolution.

I've got a number of different cases from very cheap to very expensive and they all suck when taking pictures through them.

I use a Lifeproof waterproof case on my smartphone as an everyday case. Works well.

Shooting photos through plastic will degrade image quality... the better cases are said to have optical quality glass in the window that the camera shoots through, shouldn't degrade quality worse than shooting through a skylight filter on an SLR. Reviews describe image quality as good, etc.

But OK, not getting one, sticking with the plastic bag, cheap, reliable and it floats.

No the image gets distorted by the case so not the photographer in that case.

I find my gopro takes pretty good pics through its waterproof housing - at least as good as a lot of smartphone pics. So I keep the smartphone stowed away when at "sea" and use the gopro. Smartphone I use more on "land"

I use a dog & bone wetsuit case, better pics than the lifeproof. It is a very slim waterproof case.

Only big miss from your requirements is it doesn't float.

That's my travel case, right there. It only takes an extra 2 seconds to extract the phone. I upgraded my case to 'freezer bag' quality for an extra $1 :P
