I bought the canoe primarily for racing, and instead of a yoke I had an aluminum tube. That would save some weight but it became obvious very soon that it is a pain to portage as is.
Once I started to go tripping more than racing, it was time to install a contoured yoke.

Nice, how does it balance while on shoulders?

What model/weight is that?

It is perfectly balanced. The canoe is a H2O Slingshot222. 42Lbs, 18'6" long.
