I am planning to make a pair of small removable outriggers for rowing on my canoe. Does anyone have any examples of brackets on gunnels either for that or another purpose, I am trying to figure out a good design the the clamping mechanism.

You can probably find something to copy on the Spring Creek site

https://www.springcreek.com/

The clamps they use/sell for their outriggers and other mounts are absolutely the bomb, and wouldn’t be hard to DIY fabricate.

Here is what I came up with for a rod holder / sonar mount. The clamping mechanism uses T-Track hold downs (sold to woodworkers, usually as jig hardware). These happen to be Powertec brand.
