Hi all,

I've had enough with bugs and finally tried to purchase myself tarp-bug shelter that I've seen couple times on popular canoeing blogs/channels. It seems only one with affordable price, good reviews, and light for canoeing is Eureka's NoBugZone bug shelter series. However, I wasn't really able to find any Canadian vendors (nor even from the company's website) that sells this.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Or even know whether this will be purchasable in the future?

Thanks!

Oops haha I just saw post below. I do own an "individual" bug net which I've used but was wondering something that can house at least 2 people. Perhaps with the shortages, I should just purchase more of those individual nets.

Yes, everywhere I could find is sold out. You'll need to get creative.

My Plan A was to find a different bug net as starter material and have it Jimmy-rigged it into what I wanted, but I found it impossible to get trustworthy info on the material's mesh size and durability. If you want a bigger, stand-up bug shelter, I concluded it's best to have one made.

I believe I picked mine up around mid June of last year. They came and sold out very quickly, but I had talked to my local outfitter (https://outdoorsoriented.com/collection ... -nobugzone) and just prepurchased it.

Even before all the fun shortages they didn't hang around long on shelves.

They shipped it to my local Boy scouts shop.

For me Eureka/JohnsonOutdoors just confirmed that all their retailers are sold out until at least late June (and most of those seem to have their incoming stock spoken for). Surprisingly, Eureka also couldn't/wouldn't tell me the weight or mesh size of the material they use.

I got mine last summer (CT13) just in time before my trip. I had them email me (Outdoors Oriented) when they had them in stock again and purchased one immediately!
By the next day, they were already all gone!
