I am taking a look at a Canadian 16-6 by the H2O canoe company on the weekend. Does anyone have opinions about them? |

After a rather tippy experience in an H2O Prospector, Jimmy at Opeongo Outfitters said I should try a Canadian. He spoke quite highly of it. Alas, I did not get a chance to, and so I have no first-hand experience. It does have a keel, which unreasonably or not, does not appeal to me. I'll say this, though - H2O makes great canoes, construction-wise. |

I love tippy canoes! Great for experienced paddlers, they glide through the water beautifully. We test paddled the H20 prospector, and it was OK. But not as tippy as we'd like. It's hard to find a canoe these days that has a rounded bottom...the H20 is not very rounded. |

The Canadian is a great family canoe and very stable. It is slower and takes some room to turn with the shoe keel on it. Red Pine try out the H20 Boundary and paramount canoes if your looking for something a little more responsive. |
