I just finished my new Killarney map, and I really want to share it with everyone!
You might have seen the draft I posted a few months ago. Since then I've added a whole bunch of new stuff:
• New access points
• New routes
• New crown land campsites
• A ton of new supplementary info (hiking trails, springs, pictographs, etc).
• Canoe campsite numbers
• A simple guide for tweaking the travel times to account for your speed
• And that's just to start
That's the area it covers
. So not just Killarney, but also Georgian Bay/Lake Huron, Lake Panache, and the surrounding area.
I've also spent over a month and a half on the new website. Among other things, I've added an interactive map legend and a guide on how to use the map to plan better trips – regardless of your skill level
As always it's free online and there are free downloads for your computer, Google Earth, iPhone, Android, and Garmin GPS'.
If you're looking for a hard copy to bring on your trip, I now have waterproof/floatable/tear resistant copies available
http://www.theKillarneyMap.comP.S. I'm always looking to improve the map, so if you have comments, suggestions, corrections or GPS tracks, I'd really appreciate hearing from you
Note to mods: The Killarney route information thread needs to be updated to include the new routes I added
. If you PM me I can provide a list of changes.
