I came across "How To Read Water: Clues & Patterns from Puddles to the Sea" and am thinking of getting it as a gift. Seems he has a number of books, including The Lost Art of Reading Nature's Signs: Use Outdoor Clues to Find Your Way, Predict the Weather, Locate Water, Track Animals—and Other Forgotten Skills; The Natural Navigator: The Rediscovered Art of Letting Nature Be Your Guide.
Anyone read any of these and have an opinion?

I have "The Lost Art of Reading Nature's Signs: Use Outdoor Clues to Find Your Way". Its interesting but really long. A good portion of it takes a completely unrelated twist and gets into a story of exploring a New Guinea rainforest (which is not as interesting as you'd think).
I'm not sure that most of it is even relatable to North America - seems like a southern climes book
