Anyone know where to rent a Garmin InReach unit? I am going in a Baffin Island hiking trip in July and don't have enough use for one at other times of the year to justify the purchase price and subscription cost. Any leads are greatly appreciated:) thanks!

If you Google InReach rental you will find a few places. I had a quick look and the rates for anything other than very short duration are pretty expensive.

You might be better off buying and reselling when you're done with it. There are some rebates on offer at the moment although they really just bring the prices down to pre-Garmin rates.

I'd rent you mine but I'll be using it in July.

Keep in mind the subscription cost when the device is inactive is only $3/month so if you plan to use it just once or twice a year for 2 or 3 years buying is as cheap as renting.

This is exactly what our group has done.

One InReach Explorer SE
Fully Charged Battery.
Also comes in its own Pelican Case.

$50 - each additional week
$300 Deposit Cheque

I am central to KW, Guelph, London and Mt. Forest.
