So its the dredges of winter, your sitting at your window watching grey squirrels on grey fences and dreaming of summer. What are you doing to prep the camp kitchen?

What I should be doing:
Dehydrating - Onions are cheap right now, and frozen veggies come on sale with intermittent reliability. We're watching for clearance specials on ground beef family packs to fry and dry.
Watching the sale racks - weird flavours of soup mixes, gravy packets etc. Sometimes these show up in strange places like Excess Cargo.
Putting a bug in the ear of friends with smokers - Need to get some really well cured salami and summer sausage.
Testing recipes - A test run of Dessicated Himalyan Yak Stew is likely a good idea before packing it for a trip.

What I am doing:
Watching grey squirrels on grey fences and dreaming of summer.

Anything you have to add to the list? Maybe that involves squirrel soup? Any tips to get the kitchen in order before summer?
