Prepping for the upcoming season? Are you doing a spring gear room clean-up? looking at poor unused canoe packs looking to find a new home with someone who will love it as much (or more than you do)? Well, you are in luck I might be your guy!

All kidding aside, I'm still looking for an Ostrom Portage Specialist pack (there were 2 sizes, I'm not picky). I know it's a long shot, but I'm sure someday one will surface somewhere for me. I'm also interested in any other Osrtom gear as well. Let me know if you have anything you're willing to part with, trying to outfit my kids as well :)

Do you currently have any Ostrom gear? I’m guessing you know that the Wabakimi is available again. Maybe if you’re lucky Bill will revive the Portage Specialist as well. I have one, and it’s a great little pack. Well designed and built to last. Good luck!

Yes sir! I have ALOT of Ostrom gear (I may have a bit of a problem if I'm being honest, it's a pretty extensive collection.) I did talk to Bill when he released the packs last year, and at that time it did not sound like there were plans to expand the line. That could change of course and would be fantastic if it did. I know it's a long shot, but I figure if I throw this up here from time to time someone like yourself might be ready to part with one they have knowing that it's going to someone who will use it for what it's meant to be used for. As I said long shot but has worked out for me in the past.

Have you thought about contacting Chris Randall to make you something similar?

It's going to take me a while to recover from the stress of making yours, though one piece packs are usually simpler.
