I wasn't to sure about the winter gathering last year . Especially the extended trip . I had winter camped lots of times but never in a tent. There is a big difference between sleeping in a snow shelter than in a tent . Used to tell the scouts that if they got cold just crawl into your sleeping bag and be sure to have on dry clothes when you do . Turns out its the same when you are in a tent . Now this year there will be at least one heated tent possibly 2 if I can get my act together . Kinda makes it a whole lot more carefree . Yes you still have to prepare yourself but so do we in the spring summer or fall . I'm looking foreward to it . The ones that think that it will be tough haven't tried it . Scouter Joe

Scouter Joe,

Your comment on "one heated tent possibly 2 if I can get my act together " hits home.

There will be 3 if I can get MY act together, so let's count on two. At least we have Dave H. to count on.

YIS, Ted

I believe the preferred weekend is Thursday Feb 27 to Sunday Mar 2

This accommodates Eagle, who has a previous commitment on the weekend before; and doesn't interfere with the Outdoor Adventure Show, since a few people want to attend.

Perhaps we can have a virtual 'show of hands' to this date now.

I'll be first - the weekend of Feb 27 - Mar 2 is fine with me.

Count me in for those dates.

The sooner we settle the dates the sooner I can book them off work.

I am really looking forward to this outing.

Count me in for the 27th to 2nd for sure

If' there's a party wanting to either go early or stay late, let me know , because I think a couple more days would also be some good times

You know, I'm not the brightest bulb here, but I thought the motion was for the week before?

Georgi plus 1 (for now)

I'm OK with the 27th . I think that with us getting the date set early more people will be able to plan for it . Scouter Joe

Well, maybe another year. I was going on the assumption it was the weekend of the 20 and 21st. I'm already commited for the last weekend in Feb.

Have fun.
