Well 4 weeks (28 sleeps  ) to the 2013 Deep Freeze, Feb 16 - 24th. Looking forward to seeing everyone both old and new participants!

Quote:
Dawg-house update: Shirley wants everyone to know, that if they would like to bring something to the Thursday Wine & Cheese, we are turning it into a Pot Luck "Social".

For the benefit of the new attendees - The "Dawg-house" gang has been hosting a wine and cheese social on the Thursday night of the week for quite a few years now. In an effort to spread out the work and commitment we're hoping everyone can get involved in some manner and bring something to the social "pot luck". I know the "Banter Boys" will be scheming for the next couple weeks as to our contribution 8) If we all pitch in something than we can all forgo cooking a meal for one evening. So, warm or cold, chili or hot dogs or desserts or whatever your imagination calls for - see you Thursday around the fire!

Only 9 more sleeps till the first gang gets on the train 8)

New folks always welcome to join in on the adventure, there's lots of room and a good time for all.

Al M. will be attending again this year with his guitar, so we'll also have entertainment for the Thursday "potluck"

Cheers and see ya at the station!

Aha..I posted elsewhere about where are you camping..

The Wuss club is already packing for South Carolina in three weeks. I will camp out this weekend on my lake to balance it out. Ice fishing is pretty good. Plus my house is on the lake with heated loo..wuss club here.

You guys will have a great time! But if I may ask how do you handle Number Two in a concentrated group? Not a delicate question I know.

Hi all,
Got an e-mail today about a 50% discount on Via Rail fares until Feb 14.
I ended up paying $45.20 return... I don't know if it's a deal, 'cause I haven't been to DF for awhile, but they say it is ( comments ). If you haven't booked yet and this is a deal..
Here's the link:
http://www.viarail.ca/en/50-percent-sal ... n=_Q150FEB

Cheers,
Al

Viarail: I paid $40.68 senior rate, so 45.20 likely regular fare.
The Thunderboxs are luxury accommodation. Insulated seats and lots of privacy. We are still working on the magazine rack. Freezing takes care of the smell and nature does the rest.
The Dog house even has a shower. Of course some of us just go swimming in the water hole !
See you at the station. Is it just 3 more sleeps? HC how time fly's
Stay safe
OAF
