I know it's early, but again I need to know very soon (like this week - lol) next years dates so that I can submit them into work.

Thanks very much again to all the planners!

Andrew

Thanks Smokey! You got this forum on a "push notification" system or something? Thanks for the speedy responce!!

I know there's a long thread on the Budd Car now re: Canoes, but any info re: changes that will affect us in the winter? And I dare suggest that it might be time to abandon the Budd Car altogether? Smoke Fox (I think it was called) was a good lake a couple of years ago... Thoughts??

Either way, I'll be there!

Andrew

Hopefully I'll be able to make it there... I'll also let Richard and Pete know...
On another note... for those DF'ers thinking of converting to the cot sleeping system like the Banter Boys, Canadian Tire has the item below on sale this week...
Cheers,
Al

Hi all,
Considering the recent post by Smokey of DF10, the unreliable service provided by the Budd car and the recent increase in fees for transporting canoes ( I would assume the same for sleds ) is Smokefox Lake being considered as the new site for Deep Freeze for 2014? Maybe Smokey or someone else could provide more info about the site including pros & cons for the DF crew to consider. Have any other options been discussed or proposed?
Cheers,
Al 8)

I hope I am not letting anything out of the bag here? But it is a good question. One that should be answered in case people make early plans.

But I do believe a secondary plan IS in the works, and Smokefox is the leading contender. Some minor logistics are currently being worked out, like parking and campsite choices. And I believe that a scouting trip is even being considered before any decisions are made. Otherwise this is all tentative, with details to evolve and be divulged later.

Stay tuned! Or become involved by contacting Smokey (am I in trouble now? )
