will brook trout be in the river, and able to be caught at this time of year?

What kind of lures, or rigs should i use?


i have my spinning rod spooled with 6lb Xl.

There are brookies at the Whisky Rapids, and others have said they can be caught further downstream. They seem to hit almost anything, if the water temp is right and they are feeding - I used a small silver Mepps. A worm and a hook will probably work just as well, but may kill more fish, if catching and releasing.
