We haven't really fished Georgain Bay before. Now that we have a boat, we are hoping to change that. Where are some good put ins, and fishing areas?

I assume you are talking about a motorboat, since G Bay is a bit wide open for a canoe ( at least the southern part is).

If you get a copy of Backroads Mapbook, "Cottage Country"version you will see allsorts of launch ramps. It's a good book in that it shows where all sorts of canoe routes, bike/hike trails etc. are. Of course you will then need a more detailed map to do the route.

Don't know anything about good fishing spots.....seriously, I don't!

Post subject:  Rainbows where to put in

You can put in at Thornbury, turn right at lights over Beaver river down to marina, or at Craigleith there is a boat launch next to rocks, again off Hwy 26. Fish from the Beaver river southeast down past Indian brook and that large bay....look for a very large rock out of the water...
