Do not think I've seen this on here yet - Wally Schaber is organizing volunteers to clear the last 4 km of a portage stretch along the lower Dumoine near the Ottawa River. See his post on facebook if interested - sounds like there will be crews going out most weekends

My son and I paddled the river again this past month. The camp sites at Grandes Chutes have been altered a little, a large bench has been installed at a scenic viewpoint, and there were some directional signs indicating the presence of the hiking trail from there to Robinson Lake. I didn't give it much thought until__surprise!__ a lone hiker showed up at our campsite located at the bottom of Red Pine rapids. This was a first for me on the Dumoine, to come across a backpacker exploring the river on foot rather than in a canoe. We met him again the following day at Eagle Cliff near the Fildegrande River. Apparently it was a rough hike from Red Pine Rapids to Eagle Cliff. I just learned from reading Wally Schaber's FB post in the above link (thanks, Prospector 16) that that stretch of trail is yet to be cleared.
