I'm not sure that I quite see the connection to tandem whitewater in a wilderness setting. But it was entertaining watching everyone get pushed to the middle and then spun around.

Here are some tandem teams that make it and some that don't. This annual madness is coming again this weekend.. Just after ice out.



The primary obstacle is the "Easter Eggs"(overturned rec kayaks) at the bottom of Six Mile.

Note the Old Town canoes paired with Zaveral paddles.

Every time I see the title of this thread I read it as "weird dollies". Kinda freaked me out the first time I read it that way.

Looks like everyone is having fun, and there's such a large group, I don't think safety is a concern. Hope not, any way.

I think they'd had a mass start not very far upstream, and hadn't had time to spread out.

For a "normal" downriver race, we let boats leave the start every 30 seconds, and we let the faster classes go first. That greatly reduces the problems with boats having to go through the same rapid at the same time.
