Anyone know if the river is open (and if the lake at the put-in is still frozen)?

I'd call it a strong "maybe", mixed precip and high winds today, double digit temps Thursday, might do it but these dips below freezing every second day have me thinking maybe not until sometime next week.

This is based on the Sat image from Tuesday you can see here:

https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov/?v ... 3A10%3A17Z

But then I looked here (and maybe changed my mind):

https://zoom.earth/#view=44.402044,-77. ... yers=daily

Obviously real eyeballs are needed for at least this week, weather has been so weird all month

Thanks. You have confirmed (or at least added to) my doubts. The Salmon is a long drive from Ottawa and last year we arrived to find the lake too frozen to paddle but not frozen enough to walk. This weekend could mean that the swamp will be too frozen to paddle to get to the lake. I think the river itself willl be ok due to the fairly high flow. It's getting there that is the problem. I'll wait to next week and endure the MACKFest crowds.
