I have absolutely no idea about the answer to your question, but just wanted to say how nice it is to see you again, John. :D

Thanks Barbara. It's good to here from you as well. I know it's been a while but family and work have me busy. Canoeing lately and camping have got me itching for a trip soon. I have been following along with some threads but never felt the urge to reply. I did the Sudbury Fitness Challenge Canoe Marathon Race with a friend on June 26th and we won silver and second overall of the 4km race. Short but sweet. Wish I had a light kevlar canoe tripper though instead of my poly boat. Thought it might be cheaper and funner to make one. JJ.

Ah, well, you're not alone in that.

And quality control, don't forget that!

Hope it works out for you.

Hey John,
seem to remember Noah's having some on their site
http://www.noahsmarine.com/Canada/canada.html

You could also do a search for "fiberglass laminate manufacturers" then track down a dealer from their list.

Might be hard to find it "cheap" but there are deals out there from time to time.

There are also specialty weaves of carbon and kevlar that make for a strong laminate and keep the weight low.

Did you plan to glass over a wood hull or use the wood to build a mould?

Cheers,
