Post subject:  Canoe Building Supplies In Toronto Area

I'd like to find a place in the Toronto area that sells cedar strip building supplies. I've dealt with Noah's in the past, but have tried without success for one week to contact them.

Does anyone have any other sources you'd care to share?

Thanks

Kieran

Noah's not open? You've tried phoning them? Try TenderCraft. They're a good outfit. What are you building?

Sorry, Noah's is open. Every time I call them they tell me that I need to talk to Duarte, and transfer me to him. I leave him a message, and don't hear back. All I want to know is if I need to pre-order the canoe kits that they sell, or if they keep them in stock.

I'm going to build an Osprey

I'd suggest ordering it ahead of time.

I also know that Canadian Canoes will still be selling supplies when they re-open, they just won't have the facilities for you to build the canoe at their site.

Hi Kieran

When I bought my kit for the osprey I did not order a head just dropped in and they directed me Duarte and he picked the kit while I waited. I Made changes to the kit which was not problem.
When I was stipping the canoe there were not enough of the long strips to cover the canoe till the short srtips could be used,I called and they supplied me with six
more full length stips free of charge. At the same time I noticed that I needed two strips 1/2inch wide,I picked them up at the same time, that saved a little gas and time as I live 3hours away.

Are the not responding to "on-line" requests or "phone calls"?
