Hello Florin,
Welcome.

I assume you intend to build a wood-strip canoe?

If you buy the book Canoecraft (e.g. via amazon.com) you'll get all building instructions descibed and several canoe plans included. These plans are in numbers (coordinates) only, so the drafting you'll have to do by yourself.

For complete building plans, check out the following web sides:

Bear mountain boatshop also has a builders forum, with lot's of canoe building info. Check it out. It also has photogalleries containing pictures of the bear mountain plans....
Green valley has a builders corner, with lot's of tips.

Good luck.

Michel, The Netherlands

With all due respect fizz, if you can't afford a used book, how can you afford the wood, fiberglass & epoxy necessary for modern woodstrip construction?

Good luck,
Bryan

They are not pretty, but they might work for you! Have fun and show us pictures when you are done!

Pawistik, I think that materials have a different cost in places like Romania, especially if they are created within the country. To buy a book printed in the West, one would have to outlay a big chunk of one's paycheck. I think the average annual income in Romania is about $2,000 USD.

If you run Windows on your computer or can get to a windows based computer to use, FREE!ship is a free boat design program. There are several canoes at the FREE!ship website to download.

Although, in the Bear Mnt. book cited above, you can get the plans for the Freedom 17. The price of the book is well worth it just to get those plans. It's by far one of the best tripping canoes, IMHO.
