Hope someone might be able help me out on this

I have been working on the restoration of a canoe for the past few months and I'm still at a loss as to the exact model I am working on.

On the stem it has the number 1452 5702. I know from an earlier posting that the first set of numbers is the model number, making it a Peterborough Prospector, with the model designation of River.

However, according to CCR member ogilvyspecial that this would make it a "Peterborough built sometime between about 1939 & 1962 at either the Chestnut Canoe Company over in Fredericton or, less likely, at the Canadian Canoe Co. in Peterborough."

So my question is this... Is there any way to tell if it was built by Chestnut or the Canadian Canoe Co? And what then is it's actual designation?

Thanks everyone!
