Hi, I've been looking at the rendezvous as a solo tripping canoe, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Any info you have is helpful.
thanks
Hugh

Check out this web-site: http://www.canoecolorado.com/

Specifically, read this thorough review: http://www.canoecolorado.com/canoeing/w ... endezvous/

I have asked them questions in the past and found them to be very helpful. They (Eric Nyre) regularly contribute to the paddling.net message board.

I personally haven't ever tried a Rendezvous, but it does look good for the mix of moving and flat water tripping we have here in MB.

Good luck

I owned one for a season and took it down the upper Missinaibi. It was royalex. I didn't care for the xtreme tumblehome, and that bow made it look like an icebreaker. I am into more traditional Canadian designs and just couldn't get into the Rendezvous. I also dumped more in that canoe than in any other design I have owned.

We often thought it needed some kind of modification and the canoecolorado site recommends something about changing the front thwart. If you buy one you might try that.
