|Post subject:||Diamond Seat Hardware|
I recently bought a beautiful Redbird stripper made out of redwood, teak, sassafras, and cherry. I am replacing the seats and yoke and would like to find the seat hanging hardware (carriage bolts) that have a diamond shaped head. Do they come in brass as well? Where can I find them? Thanks in advance.

The brass diamond head seat bolts are a fixture on Old Town Canoes. You might be able to find them elsewhere at some marine hardware supplier if you search high and wide. But they are really limited production pieces. If you email Old Town they can send you a parts list that includes brass stem bands, deck plaques, decals, seats, thwarts, foot racks, half ribs, etc for any of the original Old Town wood canoes.
