Well thats pretty much what I have figured at this point. I have NO idea why it was recommended to me to use the Waxed Polyester Resin... I should have done my own research prior to applying it but did not think anything of it at the time...

That being said the only resin to re-apply anything is that I have now spent 12+hrs sanding the hull down taking the Polyester Resin off and of course am down to cloth in many areas so it will need to be sealed with something a little stronger than the paint. But I will leave it at that until after the camping trip.. I have a feeling this canoe is now garbage for good....

I would paddle it now and then prime and paint it later. Two part marine polyurethane paints are pretty hard when cured and might prevent any debonding of the small amount of polyester resin that remains. The paint will protect the cloth.

Just finished giving it a coat East Coast Epoxy... I will see how that goes. I will leave that go paddle and hopefully just give it a light sand for prime and paint once we get back. I will keep you posted on how the Epoxy cure is... thanks for all the suggestions.

Guys after sanding it all down and re-coating with an East Coast Epoxy it is much much better..... there is some spots that ended up a little rough due to the previous F'd up coat. But overall it looks a ton better now... I will take it paddling for a week then sand it down with a 300grit sand paper and prime and paint it...
