Yes they did, in fact, there was a time when most of their canoes had three keels.

Not sure when they got into the realm of modern canoe design, but 70's to 90's is probably a good guess. If they have a plate on them somewhere, it might give the date.

Yes in 1985 we rented a Scott canoe just like that for our daughters to paddle. It had three keels was incredibly heavy

Are canoes THAT hard to come by? $1,200 is not just a little much ; it is exorbitant.

Ha ha Kim, it's called Covid tax in Canada, all outdoor gear is outrageous right now.

Our old single-keel Scott Tripper, fibreglass, is 78 pounds, those must be in the mid 80 pound range. Glad we picked up a 39 pound Swift Prospector!
