The Kongakut River flows from the north slopes of the Brooks Range to the Beaufort Sea, through the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. A group of 5 experienced tripping friends seek a sixth to join their self-guided rafting trip down it. 12 days planned on-river for what is probably only 4-5 days of paddling so lots of time for backpacking/hiking/fishing.
Group arrives in Fairbanks on June 29/30. Bush plane to Drain Creek put-in is July 3rd. Take-out at Caribou Pass is July 16th (weather permitting of course). Cost is ~US$2500 plus taxes and food from Fairbanks.

Looking for a paddler and hiker with a drysuit, a high tolerance for clouds of mosquitoes, handy with camp chores and a great sense of humour.
