Hi, I'm looking for a paddle partner(s) starting in the spring of 2023. I currently own a crossover Kayak and have ordered a 15 foot Esquif Prospecteur that I will outfit for both solo and tandem paddling. I live in the Dauphin, MB area, but am interested in paddling just about anywhere in Canada , though I would prefer to start closer to home to improve my skills. I am semi-retired and can arrange for any length of trip. I have taken both the Beginner River Kayak Skills and Introduction Solo Moving Water Canoeing Skills courses with Paddle Canada. I have paddled slow moving water in the past, but am looking to move up to class II and class III skill levels. Though a relative novice to paddling, I am experienced in wilderness travel and camping. If you are looking for a partner to explore Manitoba's waterways (and eventually even more adventurous places)on a one-time or on-going basis, please respond so we can plan some excursions. Or if you need an extra for a group expedition, let me know. |

I suggest joining the Facebook group called "Manitoba Canoeists" and watching for some ww instruction opportunities in the spring. There is also an outfitter (Wild Harmony) who offers day trips that include some moving water (but not ww instruction), mostly around southern MB. Good luck! Pat. |
