Just thought I’d share a good book I found and am reading now, Far Distant Echo: A Journey By Canoe from Lake Superior to Hudson Bay by Fred Marks and Jay Timmerman. Its just what I needed to get my canoe fix. I won’t attempt to do a book review as I’m really only at the beginning but I can tell you this much. The authors provide quite a lot of detail about the old voyager route between Lake Superior and Hudson Bay in addition to their own adventures. They really bring the story alive. Highly recommended!

Ranger, Where did you obtain your copy of this book? I've tried Coles and Amazon with no success at all. I'd like to read it but finding a supplier is problematic. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks,
Al

Anyone know what the main rivers were that they used for this trip?

Not having read the book, I can only guess that they started up the Michipicoten River near Wawa and then downstream on the Missinaibi. After that? Anyone's guess.
