I just stumbled across a youtube video of one of the contestants 10 item lists. I had no idea about this show. Watched the second episode last night. I think it is a pretty cool idea...seems like one of the more realistic of survival reality shows.

Maybe it's just me but I feel that the contestants have been "coached" a bit on what to say...sure is a lot of talk about bears and cougars.

Has anybody else watched the show? Any thoughts on the gear lists that the contestants chose?

Two people bailed on the first show (one night was enough), wolves scared away one, a bear scared away the other.

I rank it as one of the sillier of the "survivorman spinoffs" but I do enjoy watching people be idiots! I liked the part where the guy loses his fire steel on the beach and then realized the tide probably washed it away, I can relate to that screw up somewhat  !

Yeah...the two who bailed right away was...disappointing.

The fellow who lost his fire steel is one of the Canadians. I watch his youtube channel time to time. Unfortunately I don't think he spends enough time in the bush and question how well he will do...the fire steel mistake while seemingly amateur...well I lose my glasses almost once a week so I can relate lol.

Still nice to see a new show about surviving in the wilderness...and the prize is unreal!!
