Which makes me ponder. How many here have participated? I know some who no longer post have.

I can't answer your speculation directly, however, the Past Participants page of The Wabakimi Project website lists each past participant with a bullet to mark each completed trip regardless of its duration. The accompanying Google map depicts the residency of each participant. Membership spans from the Pacific coast and Arizona to Holland.

Since 2004, almost 200 different volunteers have participated in our one-week reconnaissance expeditions--some for as many as +20 weeks. Several have graduated to become volunteer trip leaders.

In the first 4 weeks of this year's trips, participants have hailed from Oregon, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Southern Ontario--a strong indicator that there are paddlers out there that place a high value in protecting and preserving our shrinking wilderness areas.
