Update on this order: I have bowed out of a mass purchase of the sleds... I decided to get them from a hardware store in upstate NY. Sorry to anyone who might have been waiting on me purchasing these.

BTW, to those who have built these sleds to Ski Pulk Ed's EWS specifications, how have people managed to keep costs so low? Between the various specialized (and costly!) hardware like the ball joints and reducing couplers, and all the little odds and sods, I bet if I added up my receipts I'd have almost $100 / sled... Ahh, nonetheless, it is coming together nicely and I think I will be quite happy with the final product...

Hi Dave, I'd have to dig my notes out but I don't think your to far off, I'm thinking when I made mine it came in at around $80.oo and I was given the fiberglass rods and did all my own fabricating

The alum. U channel wasn't that cheap and I could only find it at one spot, although folks around me sold industrial metal and didn't stock what I needed ( but I did by enough to make parts for two pulks)

About the cheapest part other then the nuts and fender washers was the belt from ctc ( btw, I have another belt if anyone is interested), I did opt for the suspenders as well which I like to use.

or their whole line. The "utility glider" sleds it seems are meant more for XC or Snowshoers than the Trek series?

I looked everywhere last winter for one of the Parin Expedition sleds.I ended buying one from Walmart online and they ship for free to there stores.

I accidentally stumbled upon this sled in a San Francisco store.

I am going to bring a SnoSnake sled to Toronto. I can bring a few more to share transportation expenses.

SnoSnake is about 70% of the Expedition. According to Eragroup catalog:
#960, 60” x 20” x 5.5” - EXPEDITION
#948, 48" x 17.5" x 3" - SNOSNAKE

SnoSnake looks sturdy enough and most likely is made of the same material as Expedition.
Available colours are black and dark red.

Great news! Home Hardware has started selling ERAPRO (Paris) Pro Expedition 60" sleds in select stores. You'll have to call around to check if your store has them, but it's pretty likely the head office could get one out to you.

Paricon ( maker of Paris sleds) are headquartered about eight miles from my house.

You can't go grocery shopping or to Aubuchon hardware without encountering stacks of them.

If you are this way its a good item to pick up.

Thanks for the heads up. I stopped into the Home Hardware on Minet's Point Rd in Barrie this afternoon and they had two on the shelf. Bought one for $34 tax included.
