This year's big trip was a family trip in to Nanika-Kidprice. One brother and one cousin from BC and another brother, sister, and friend from ON joined Annamarie and I.

Had a surprise for everyone on day 4. Moose Tracks ice cream delivered via float plane. Thanks Graham (pilot) and another brother Gordon!

Looking at those pictures reminds me how much I miss the mountains.

Where was the waterfall?

Thanks guys!

Stencil, Thanks for the friendly kick.

Splake, the waterfall is Nanika Falls.

It's about a half km downriver from Kidprice Lk.
Funny thing about this route is it's called Nanika-Kidprice Canoe Route but nobody ever goes to Nanika Lk as it's only accessible by floatplane or eight kms of tracking upstream.

Maybe next year.

(edited to add pics)

Thanks Ted

It looks beautiful, but I have to agree that 8km of upstream tracking would probably make those Killarney portages start to look pleasant. :D

Great shots, Ted. When I paddled Nanika-Kidprice in 2010, we were the only ones we saw for a week. We did meet the local ranger on the way out, and folks have paddled from Nanika Lake and down the Nanika River to Morice Lake. It is on my to-do list.
