I would like to encourage folks who haven't entered the contests as yet to join in the fun.

This time around, there's no theme and no date restriction on when the photo was taken. Any photo taken during a paddling excursion of any duration, in any location, is welcome.

Here are the details of how to enter your photo:

1.) One entry per username.

2.) Please include your CCR username in the email, above the photo.

3.) Photos should be no smaller than 640 x 480 and no larger than 800 pixels wide.

If you have problems resizing your photo, please email me first, before submitting your photo.

4.) Entries must be in jpg format.

5.) Please put "End of Summer CCR Photo Contest" as the subject line of the email.

6.) Email your entry to barbara-ccr @ hotmail.com (remove the spaces before and after the @ )

7.) The submission period runs from today until September 30, 2012.

Sorry, no exceptions, as 800 pixels is the maximum width that photos can be displayed in the forums.

I think the restriction is mostly due to the width that can be displayed on the forum. You might be stuck having to scale it down, keep the full panorama image and the proportions but scale it down so the width is 800. The height will probably be something like 200 at that point.

This is just another reason why I would like to see this forum full screen. Having it take up only half the width of a monitor seems to be a waste of space. Most other sites I visit, the page adjusts to the full width of the screen. Way less scrolling, and it affords more room for larger photos.

Regardless though, we are all going by the same rules here, and I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's photos on these contests.

Bump :D

It would be great to see entries from all across the country. Let's see those photos from out East, from the Western provinces, and from the Far North!

If you're still waiting to capture that "perfect" photo, put a post-it note on your monitor to remind you to get your photo to me by the deadline of September 30th.

12 hours left to get your entries in to me. :D

If all goes well, I'll have the entries posted to a gallery, and the voting poll posted *soon*.

There's a wonderful line-up of entries so far.

Dang, I missed it. If only I had known about it...

Just kidding, I knew, I put it off, and went off paddling instead.

Oh, well, next time.
