I just finished my new Killarney map, and I really want to share it with everyone!

You might have seen the draft I posted a few months ago. Since then I've added a whole bunch of new stuff:
• New access points
• New routes
• New crown land campsites
• A ton of new supplementary info (hiking trails, springs, pictographs, etc).
• Canoe campsite numbers
• A simple guide for tweaking the travel times to account for your speed
• And that's just to start

Image

That's the area it covers :). So not just Killarney, but also Georgian Bay/Lake Huron, Lake Panache, and the surrounding area.

I've also spent over a month and a half on the new website. Among other things, I've added an interactive map legend and a guide on how to use the map to plan better trips – regardless of your skill level :D

As always it's free online and there are free downloads for your computer, Google Earth, iPhone, Android, and Garmin GPS'.

If you're looking for a hard copy to bring on your trip, I now have waterproof/floatable/tear resistant copies available :)

P.S. I'm always looking to improve the map, so if you have comments, suggestions, corrections or GPS tracks, I'd really appreciate hearing from you :)

Note to mods: The Killarney route information thread needs to be updated to include the new routes I added :). If you PM me I can provide a list of changes.

I need to get out and explore Panache (Penage) lake... I live just up the road from it. I'll have to keep this map handy! Thanks!

Perfect!

If you get a chance to check out any of the unofficial routes/campsites off Panache let me know. I'd really appreciate it! :)

Wow! That's quite the map. I have looked at it on-line and was very pleasantly surprised that it showed campsites on Phillip E as well as East to the FRPP. I think that's the olny map that does that.

Is it possible to load your maps into Basecamp?

thx

I wanted to order your map but due to the impending postal job action your rv site advised me it was not possible
I got the useless Chrismar waterproof map and marked it with your info. The Chrismsr map lacks campsites

Yours was by far the better map

Thanks for the kind words wotrock! Yea, a lot of that info came from a friend who's been going there for decades and made detailed notes on all of the campsites he'd found. And yup, just download the Garmin version of the map from my website (see the Free Download tab under the map viewer)

@littleredcanoe - haha thanks :D. Yea, it's unfortunate about the Canada Post situation, but I hope you had a wonderful trip nonetheless :)
