This information is not apparent on their website this year, so I thought it might be worthwhile to share it here.

Cheers

Uh oh, was planning on heading up there for a week in Sept. Is this just a seasonal thing?

Coincides with Quebec parks' moose season (which starts about a month earlier than regular season).

I'm heading up there for the the last week that they are open. Will hit the water on the last day of the long Canadian Labor Day weekend. My experience has been that the week after our Labour Day is the best canoeing week of the season in LV. The park is literally empty and without other canoeists and fishermen one gets a true sense of solitude.

Anyone looking for early October canoe camping should consider Le Parc National De La Mauricie. It's great canoeing in early fall. Check with them for closing dates.
