Thanks Recap,
The Natogami River, its been on our to do list for quite some time and after reading your trip report we decided this was the year. Paddled the Partridge a couple of times and not having to paddle the Bay and up the Moose River is a real plus. I think we were behind you and Sam B by just a few days on the Wak about 10 years ago.
It's "recped" common error, not an issue (probably should keep my mouth shut!)
What is your put-in date for Upper Kesagami Lake? I'm probably doing the Partridge (again) with a +/- May 17th shuttle date, hoping for a late meltdown as my previous trip had very low water.
If the water levels are good (high) the swamp drag to the Net after Kesagami Lake is not too bad, takes a few hours and I did some "pruning" last year. I recommend taking snips or similar, much of what I cut probably regrew last summer. It would be a horrible portage if you can't push/pull through the trickles. I also did a fair bit of cutting on the "trails" around the big drops that come later on.
If you haven't been down the Upper Kesagami River section for a few years a lot of the obstructions have washed away.
