Realized I could take the shut ins on a virtual boat ride along the Peace River, and mark the launches along the way for anyone who visits in person. A 360 camera was mounted to a jet boat in September 2017 and the imagery is available on Streetview between the Peace Canyon Dam and Bear Flat. The water was pretty high that day and the boat goes through several channels that I've never paddled because they're too shallow. This will mostly be under water in a few years due to the Site C dam.

I couldn't figure out how to embed 360 Streetview images, so you'll have to click links. Or just click the first one and work your way downstream. After following the link, click and drag the images to change perspective. Pretend you're in a canoe and look at that wake you're throwing!

The Gates. This island is currently being mined for material for the Site C dam

Farrell Creek (you can launch a canoe/kayak here, but you have to walk a bit if the creek is too low)

Launch near a pullout/garbage can on Highway 29. Steep trail that is easily missed from the highway and 4x4 with good clearance only. Bring a saw in case a tree falls while you're down there

Halfway River bridge

Alternate Halfway takeout. At low water you can take out here so you don't have to paddle up the Halfway River. At high water a channel floods the trail, so park closer to the bridge or you might be stuck here a while

View at Bear Flat. When Cache Creek is high (April) you can launch at the Highway 29 bridge and take out at Taylor.

End of the ride. The boat turned around here just upstream from Site C.
