Well since my fall trip down the Agawa I have spent a lot of time searching.
One to see if I could find a name to cairn I found on the river and others stuff to see what alterations they made to the river for logging.
Found lots of info none that helped what I was looking for but found tons of information I would never have known, and the maps from the 20's & 30's are incredibly accurate.
so by searching the logging data base history it may have info on some of the rivers you are looking at, if not the least you will find out a little more history of the river you are looking at.

One thing I did find out was they had planned to blast this side creek to run logs, but for some reason, most likey costs they did not.
One thing is for sure blasting costs where realatively cheap.
But the costs and troubles they incurred on the Agawa saved other rivers like the Sand and Garguntua (edit brain fart, :o wrote gravel first... well it starts with g...) rivers. But those areas where heavily surveyed and the locations rapids/falls is impressive.
So I am sure there is other info out there that could help paddlers plan trips.
So it is just another resource to share.
There is supposed to be even more detailed info at the reference library in Toronto, so I will have to go there and spend some time.
