Hi all. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of the Indian River as it leaves Algonquin Park?

I’m considering a bushwhacking, spring time run with a couple of hearty friends. The trip would be putting in at Grand Lake (Achray) then through Stratton - St. Andrews – Rouge - Robiscow Lakes, then hit the rail bed until the Indian connects, then head down river until we hit Round Lake Rd in Alice.

I’ve been to St. Andrews Lake but never past. Has anyone seen this section of the park? I’m having a hard time finding information on this section of the river.

Thanks for any help!

Hi, did you end up doing this trip? I'm curious, it is an interesting route. I'm guessing you can't get a camping permit from the Park for anywhere along the river.
