Booked a family trip to Barron Canyon. Got a site below High Falls (High Falls Lake). I've been checking out other maps and books and they say you can't actually walk from High Falls Lake to the falls, you have to paddle around via St. Andrews and Stratton. Of course everything is now booked and I can't find any sites on those lakes. I"m travelling with 8-14 year olds. Is it actually possible to walk up from High Falls lake now? Or have I condemned my kids to an extra 6k of paddling?

There should be a trail running from the St. Andrews port along the east side of the river... on Jeff's map, the old version.... there's a dotted line showing a trail.

Much thanks. It was that trail that made me think it could be done. I'm hoping it's not to rocky and scrabbly for to long.
