Just wondering if there is a general rule of thumb for ice-out in this part of the Province?

For example, Algonquin is typically last week in April or first week in May - except for this year, of course!

Just a guess. Mid May.. Ice out near Fort Kent Maine is about then and Elliot Lake is a little further south( and a lot west)

Pretty sure it's right around the Algonquin ice out date. Algonquin is at a higher elevation and typically takes a little longer to thaw out than some regions further north. I could be off.. but I'd only imagine by a week +/- at most. This year.... let's say May 11th? Who knows.... temps are still well below seasonal. It's getting down to a balmy -23 with windchill tonight in Timmins. Lovely spring weather......
